A five-year-old child died after falling from the 9th floor of a block of flats in Sector 1 of the Capital
A 5-year-old child died, on Sunday, after falling from the ninth floor of a block in sector 1 of the Capital where he lived. According to the Bucharest City Police, the medical team that arrived at the scene of the accident gave first aid to the child, but, despite their efforts, they had to declare his death.

A 5-year-old child fell from the ninth floor of the building where he lived, in District 1 of the Capital.
A medical crew also went to the address, which provided first medical care to the minor in question, but, despite the efforts made, his death was declared.
The lifeless body of the child will be transported to the National Institute of Forensic Medicine, for the necropsy.
“Today, March 22, 2026, police officers from the General Directorate of Police of the Municipality of Bucharest – Police Section 2 were alerted, by calling 112, regarding the fall of a minor, at an address in Sector 1. Moving quickly to the scene, the police officers from the subunit found that the issues reported were confirmed, as a child, aged 5, was identified in the case years, fell from the 9th floor of the building he lived in. Also, a medical team went to the address, which provided first medical care to the minor in question, but, despite the efforts made, his death was declared”reported the Capital Police.
The investigations will be taken over by the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Bucharest Court, together with policemen from the Homicide Service, to establish the circumstances in which the event took place.
