In 2026, SGK will carry out work at 60 objects of the heat supply system in Kansk

The Kansk Heating Network (a branch of the Yenisei TGC, a division of the Siberian Generating Company in the Yenisei Siberia region) plans to carry out repairs and reconstruction of 7 km of pipelines in 57 sections of the city this year.
In parallel with this, the renovation of heat sources will continue: power engineers are modernizing two boiler houses, and design work will begin on two more facilities for reconstruction next year.
The first renovation work will begin in mid-April. Currently, the Kanskaya Heating Network is conducting procurement procedures to form a list of contractors that will be involved in the work, and is also creating the necessary supply of materials and equipment. This approach allows the company to quickly begin implementing a repair program as soon as the weather permits. With warming, the improvement of 16 sites that remained after network repairs in the late fall of last year will also begin.
One of the key works of the current repair campaign will be the work that completes the five-year cycle of updating communications along 30 Let VLKSM Street. This year, power engineers will relay 162 meters; in total, 707 meters of pipelines have been updated in five years. This made it possible to create a serious reserve of reliability for more than 40 multi-apartment residential buildings that receive heating and hot water from the heating network.

One of the results of the implementation of the Kansk heat supply system renewal program, which SGK has been conducting since 2020, is a halving of the damage rate of mains with a diameter of 400-600 mm. These infrastructure arteries are central to the city's heat supply system and ensure the transportation of resources to residential areas and social facilities. Therefore, the company continues to work to replace them. The program for 2026 includes major repairs of main pipelines with a total length of more than 2 km.
This phased approach ensures the development of the entire infrastructure without reducing the quality of services for consumers. Thanks to new construction and renovation of the heat supply system, since 2020, SGK has closed and replaced 11 old boiler houses with new automated facilities, reducing emissions in Kansk by 1,500 tons per year.
In parallel with the renewal of pipelines, SGK will continue to modernize the city’s heat sources. This season, reconstruction will take place at two sites: boiler house No. 13 “Fifth Military Camp” and boiler house No. 3 “PTU”. Updating the sources will increase their energy efficiency and improve environmental performance. Design work will begin on two more boiler houses, and their modernization is planned for 2027.
The total volume of relocation and new construction of heating networks during this period was about 50 km. The results of the modernization program are measurable in specific indicators. The wear and tear of Kansk's heat supply system has decreased from a critical 80% to 38% – this is a fundamental change that removes the city's infrastructure from the risk zone and ensures its sustainable operation in the future. Such systemic changes became possible thanks to long-term price regulation and the creation of opportunities for investment in the heat and power industry.
