If you feel heavy, bloated after dinner, or can't sleep because your stomach is full, the problem is not your weight, but how and when you eat in the evening. Instead of heavy meals or fasting, try a light but filling dinner that will support digestion and prevent your body from working all night.
Recipe for a light dinner for a comfortable sleep:
Ingredients:
Pumpkin pulp – 150 g
Quinoa or buckwheat – 3 tbsp. spoons
Fresh spinach – 1 handful
Avocado – 1/4 pcs.
Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
Olive oil – 1 teaspoon
Salt, a pinch of turmeric – to taste
Preparation:
- Boil quinoa or buckwheat until tender.
- Cut the pumpkin into cubes and bake in the oven for 15 minutes at 180°C or simmer in a frying pan without oil.
- In a bowl, combine warm cereal, pumpkin and fresh spinach.
- Add chopped avocado, sprinkle with lemon juice and season with oil.
- Season with salt and add a pinch of turmeric.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
This dinner is light but nutritious. Fiber from pumpkin and grains gently stimulates peristalsis, avocado and butter provide healthy fats, and spinach provides magnesium for relaxation. All this helps not to fall asleep with a heaviness in your stomach, and to wake up in the morning without bloating.
If you eat such a dish 4-5 times a week, after 7-10 days you will feel that your stomach is not “bloated” in the evening, and your sleep has become deeper.
