In the match with Metaloglobus, the 36-year-old veteran scored only his second game of the year. He had been absent for two months, playing for the last time on January 16, in the match with FC Argeș, losing 0-1 in the first match of 2026 in League 1.

Chiricheș had medical problems before, and Gigi Becali did not expect to see him starting at FCSB. Rădoi, however, decided to introduce him to the “first 11” in the context of the absences of Lixandru and Ofri Arad.

In total, this season, Chiricheș played 10 matches and now it remains to be seen if he will return to the field, after this injury, at the end of the season.
