The mobile rocket systems, with a range of 300 km, were handed over to the Army at the Air Base ämari, the source said.
“They arrived”, wrote Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna on the social network X. “This strengthens not only the defense of Estonia, but it also strengthens the security of the entire NATO alliance,” he added, writes Agerpres.
Estonia, who has a common border with Russia, considers the invasion of Moscow in Ukraine as a direct threat to her national security, and has increased her military expenses.
The other two Baltic states, Latvia and Lithuania, also contracted Himars missile systems.
