Rubikon base attacked. Ukraine reports success


The attack was carried out using at least several drones on the night from Tuesday to Wednesday as part of a series of actions referred to by the Ukrainian side as Middle Strike [ataki o średnim zasięgu]which target Russian infrastructure in the occupied territories of Ukraine.

In addition to the facilities of the Rubikon unit, the coordination point for Russian drone operations in the Donetsk Oblast was also hit.

At the same time, the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported a successful attack on two Russian landing craft of the BK-16 type. These are small units, capable of transporting a dozen or so soldiers.

A big blow to Russia

The Rubikon Center for Prospective Unmanned Technologies is recognized (also by the Ukrainian side) as one of the most effective Russian centers that research the possibilities of combat use of drones, develop tactics for their use and train military personnel.

It was established in mid-2024 on the basis of one of the subunits of the Russian drone forces participating in the war with Ukraine, as a response to the mass use of drones by the Ukrainian army.
