The authorities of the United Arab Emirates have extended the ban on the use of airspace until 11:30 (Moscow time) on March 3, 2026, reports the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).
After this, Ural Airlines, Aeroflot, Pobeda, Utair, S7 Airlines notified passengers of the cancellation of flights from the UAE and back. ATOR strongly recommends that passengers check the flight status before leaving for the airport and follow updates on the airlines' official resources.
All carriers emphasize that they are ready to resume flights immediately after the restrictions are lifted. If desired, you can reissue tickets for other dates or issue a forced refund.
In parallel, the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism has officially instructed hotels to extend the stay of guests who cannot leave the country due to current flight restrictions. In addition, Russian tour operators received an official letter from the tourism authorities of Ras al-Khaimah to cover the costs of extending the stay of tourists.
Let us remind you that the authorities of Bahrain, Iraq, Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait decided to completely close their airspace against the backdrop of the Israeli and US operation against Iran that began on February 28 and the retaliatory attacks of the Islamic Republic on American military bases in the region.
