In Krasnoyarsk, they found a contractor to treat the city against ticks; based on the results of the bidding, they decided to conclude a contract with KRASDEZ LLC. The organization will be able to carry out work in the first days of arthropod activity, the mayor’s office reported.
Specialists will work according to plans drawn up based on requests from citizens. The contractor's area of responsibility is cases when ticks are found in municipal or undemarcated areas that are not included in the mandatory treatment plan as prescribed by Rospotrebnadzor. Employees of KRASDEZ LLC will travel to such areas, conduct an entomological examination and, if necessary, treat them with preparations that are safe for humans and animals.
Applications from citizens will be accepted through service 005 dispatchers by phone: 223-85-05. Funds for such treatments will traditionally be allocated from the budget of Krasnoyarsk.
“The main planned treatment in the city will also be carried out. It will be carried out using subsidies from the regional budget. The contractor will be determined as soon as an order is received from Rospotrebnadzor and regional funds. Typically, more than 460 hectares are cultivated in the city. This year, the area will most likely be increased taking into account the territories that have become part of greater Krasnoyarsk,” the press service of the city administration reported.
Let us remind you that traditionally, according to the instructions of Rospotrebnadzor, areas adjacent to forests, wastelands, areas in residential areas of the regional capital, where increased tick activity was observed in previous seasons, are processed, and arthropods that were carriers of dangerous diseases are identified. You can view their list by following the link.
The main purpose of the treatments is to prevent diseases dangerous to humans. Such work is carried out in dry and warm weather. After treatment, mite activity may persist for several more days, since the drug acts on arthropods by contact and takes time to spread. After a few days, the treated area is examined again; if mite activity continues, the area is sprayed again.
