The hermit Agafya Lykova, living in the taiga on the border of Khakassia and the Krasnoyarsk Territory, again faced possible danger. This was reported by Komsomolskaya Pravda – Krasnoyarsk.
The old woman said that the day before her dog got worried, broke loose and ran into the forest. Agafya Karpovna went after her and found large footprints on a hillock near the hut. I couldn’t figure out whose exactly it was, the snow was loose. But there is no doubt that the animal is large and dangerous.

Last year, the hermit was already frightened by, as she says, “an adversary bear.” He kept her under siege all summer and autumn, not allowing her to leave the house, feed the goats or prepare supplies. To scare away the predator, an entire expedition arrived at the site. Then the dog was handed over to Agafya.
At the end of February, there were concerns that the bear might have woken up ahead of time. In zoos, many clubfoot have already come out of hibernation, so this option is not excluded. Soon, an expedition of skiers is scheduled to leave for the property to help deal with the predator and prepare firewood until the real spring.
Among other things, Agafya Karpovna is now observing Lent. As her spiritual mentor, Priest Igor Mylnikov, said, due to a bad leg, the hermit cannot bow to the ground, but prays while sitting. “She constantly trusts in God and does not feel lonely,” the priest noted.
