The “king” won 4 champion titles (1996-97, 1997-98, 1998-99, 1999–00), 2 Cups of Turkey (1998-99, 1999-00) and Turkish Super Cup 2 times (1996, 1997).

In 2000 he led Galata to win the UEFA Cup, in front of Arsenal, at the break, and the European Super Cup, after defeating Real Madrid.

The then team of Galata was led by Mircea Lucescu. Hagi scored a fabulous goal in the victory by the Turks with the French from Monaco, a match in the 2000-2001 season by Champions League.
