Police detained two suspects in Irkutsk for a robbery against a 42-year-old resident of Krasnoyarsk.

Attack on a man in Krasnoyarsk
After this, the raiders fled. Employees of the Krasnoyarsk criminal investigation department established their identities – they turned out to be young residents of Irkutsk: a 25-year-old who had previously been repeatedly convicted of property crimes and a 22-year-old.
“They came to Krasnoyarsk to relax and then returned home. The attackers were detained by police during a business trip. As the suspects explained, they saw the man and thought he was a pawnbroker. Using physical force and a gas spray, they took away the bag and disappeared. The young people left the stolen items in one of the shops in the Sovetsky district. The property was returned to the owner,” the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
A criminal case was opened against the detainees under Part 2 of Art. 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Robbery”, the sanction of which provides for punishment of up to 10 years in prison. An investigation is currently underway, and the defendants have been given a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions.
