Siberian Generating Company opened a training complex in Krasnoyarsk.

It is designed to train personnel in safe working practices at heights and in confined spaces. At the new training ground, up to 100 company specialists from different departments will be able to undergo training every month.

The training site on the basis of Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1 was created as part of the implementation of the industrial safety program in order to increase the level of professional training of employees involved in organizing and performing work at heights and in cramped conditions of a confined space. These include welders, mechanics, installers, foremen, as well as engineering and technical personnel.

Employees from Krasnoyarsk, Nazarovo, Kansk, Zelenogorsk and other SGK enterprises whose functionality is related to working at height are required to regularly undergo such training. The educational process consists of two stages. The first is theoretical. The second is practical, where power engineers hone their skills in working on sites with fences, on the roof, gondola car, tank, transformer and 110 kV disconnector. Special modules of the test site simulate real working conditions on industrial equipment, allowing you to work out specific tasks.

“Studying theory gives knowledge, and training at the test site develops skills that guarantee specialists safety during work. Therefore, we are increasing the number of sites for such training and expanding them, filling them with new structures. In essence, this is an investment in the most valuable thing – the life and health of our employees,” said Oleg Efimov, deputy chief engineer for operation of the Yenisei TGC (a division of the SGC in the Yenisei Siberia region).

Let us remind you that similar training grounds are already successfully operating at the Krasnoyarsk CHPP-3 (since January 2021) and the Minusinsk CHPP (since the beginning of 2025). Training programs using modern simulators have also been implemented at SGC enterprises in the Altai Territory, Novosibirsk, Kuzbass and the Far East.
