The Bulgarian authorities have decided to close the traffic for goods transport vehicles with a maximum authorized weight of more than 12.5 tons on the national roads Ruse – Byala and Ruse – Razgrad, ITPF Giurgiu informed on Saturday, reports Agerpres.
According to the cited source, the trucks are stopped at the exit from Ruse and cannot continue moving on these routes until the restrictions are lifted.
Cars can still drive, but drivers are asked to exercise caution, use appropriate winter equipment and obey road signs.
To avoid unpleasant situations, the authorities recommend regular consultation of official sources for updated information on road conditions and traffic conditions.
Giurgiu County is under yellow code warning of blizzard and snow.
The Friendship Bridge was closed Saturday morning for half an hour in both directions for snow removal.
