Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov spoke about how the metro is being built and why the construction “may never end». The head of the region gave an interview to the TV channel “Vesti-Krasnoyarsk».
He explained that while the city is developing, this type of transport will be in demand and will constantly develop, as is happening in Moscow.
“Today we have a contract only for the creation of the first stage — from Vysotnaya to Miners. The good news is that experts have finally found all the engineering and technical solutions for how to build the underground part of the metrotram in Krasnoyarsk. There were a lot of technical difficulties because we are building We are not a full-fledged metro. Krasnoyarsk is smaller than Moscow, so we don’t need 8 train cars. We focus on 3, and, accordingly, we do not need to dig large pits. We need other optimal technical solutions», — said Mikhail Kotyukov.
The governor said that he had to hold meetings with designers and technical experts almost on a daily basis. This made it possible to achieve an optimal solution both in terms of engineering and price. Now the main work is concentrated on the station in the area of Kopylova Street.

“This is the deepest station — more than 40 meters. An engineering complex facility, there will be only 2 such facilities in the country — one in Moscow and one here. All technical solutions have been found, how to equip it, including the key question — safety. Contractors have already started this work.», — the head of the region emphasized.
Work schedules are now being formed, and contractors are finally distributing responsibility for individual elements among themselves.
