Light shaking or patting will help activate the growth of seedlings. Every morning, when approaching the windowsill, it is enough to run your palm over the tops of the plants or lightly tap the cups with your fingers so that the seedlings sway a little.
“In nature, a breeze constantly blows on plants, insects or raindrops touch them. These microvibrations give a signal to the stem that there is danger around. When we slightly disturb the seedlings, they begin to secrete special substances that strengthen the trunk and stimulate the root to grow deeper, and not just stretch upward towards the light. After such “charging” the seedlings grow stocky, with thick stems and a healthy appetite for useful microelements,” – explained in the material.
Rotating the container with seedlings 180° will be effective. Since the sun on the windowsill always shines from one side, the plant reaches towards it and bends. Therefore, you need to turn the tray every morning with the other side facing the glass. This will keep the plant in good shape and make it gradually develop.
It is also advisable to carry out morning ventilation, because a short influx of fresh air acts on the seedlings like a cold shower. It is important not to create drafts, but only to allow the air around the leaves not to stagnate.
