Krasnoyarsk lost almost half a million trying to make money on likes and reviews on the marketplace

A 33-year-old resident of Krasnoyarsk turned to the police after fraudsters stole almost half a million rubles from her. This was reported in the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The woman was looking for a part-time job in the messenger and contacted a “marketplace manager” who offered easy money by liking and writing reviews to increase the rating of products.

According to the conditions, she had to transfer money to different accounts, and she was promised to return the amount for orders. The woman began transferring funds to cards, which, as it later turned out, had nothing to do with the marketplace or real orders. In total, she transferred more than 400 thousand rubles, of which 300 thousand were credit.

The police opened a criminal case under article of fraud.

According to the latest data from the prosecutor's office, since the beginning of the year, 1,209 residents of the region have become victims of Internet criminals; the damage exceeded 403 million rubles. Over the past week alone, more than 35 million rubles were stolen remotely from 122 people. At the same time, the detection rate of such crimes is slightly more than 25%. 148 criminal cases of theft in the IT sector have already been sent to the courts.
