A dog named Volt, who lives in the Pereprava shelter for homeless animals in Surgut, has become a nominee for the international award “My Affectionate and Gentle Beast.” This was reported by Vestnik of the Surgut region.
Volt became famous for the fact that volunteers knit socks from his wool for participants in a special military operation. During their work, they sent about 50 parcels to the fighters, each of which included warm socks made of dog hair.

Volunteer Nailya Saberzyanova says that Volt, despite his impressive size, is very kind and affectionate. The shelter's guests are initially frightened by his appearance, but inside he remains a little puppy looking for love.
As a child, the dog suffered from enteritis, which made his body weak, and now he is very cold even under his own thick fur. Volt has been living in a warm room for several years now.
