The vice-president of Petrol, Cristian Fogarassy, offered a reaction following the refereeing scandal at the match with FC Argeș, which ended with a score of 2-1 for the people of Ploiești.
After the game on “Ilie Oană” the residents of Pitesti protested vehemently, because in the 86th minute of the game, Radu Petrescu stopped the game before the ball sent by Sierra entered the goal. This fact irritated the heads of the Trivale club, and at the end of the match, Dani Coman rushed to the interviews.
Gazeta Sporturilor also got in touch with Petrolul Ploiești to offer a point of view about the controversial phase at the end of the match.
Cristian Foggarasy admits that the referee should not have stopped the game, however he mentioned that the free kick was wrongly awarded, and if Radu Petrescu had made the right decision from the first, this scandal would not have happened.
Cristian Fogarassy: “We can't say that Radu Petrescu canceled a valid goal. Ours were no longer defending”

“The idea is as follows: there was no foul in that phase and a foul was erroneously called for FC Argeș. Probably, to fix the mistake, the referee tried to compensate somehow by interrupting the phase, it's just an assumption, I can't know what he was thinking.
When the referee blows the whistle, we are passive in defense, Andrei Dumitrescu doesn't jump the same way anymore, Bălbarău doesn't stay in the goal the same way anymore, that is, we can't say that he canceled a valid goal. By the time the referee blew the whistle, the ball was in the air, everything had to be taken in chronological order.
If he didn't dictate an erroneous foul at that stage, he wouldn't have gotten here. And the goal was not disallowed because he stopped the game until the ball entered the goal.
We can talk about interrupting the game without a good reason. First of all, if we take it chronologically again, it was a penalty for Gicu Grozav, he now has a bruised ankle after the contact, he doesn't step crookedly, he is stepped on.
The second yellow for a foul on Boțogan was not awarded. Hanca was hit and the opponent did not receive a yellow, he has blood on his mouth. There were mistakes that we encountered both in our favor, but also against us. I'm not starting from the premise that someone is doing something on purpose.
And at Dinamo we had a penalty at Grozav and it was not given to us. Maybe I was playing at Dinamo and it was something else. We were at a disadvantage over time, but we didn't take it for granted. He was wrong against us as well as against them.
For example, if FC Argeș's goal was allowed, was it okay to score from a foul that wasn't? If we take it in order, it was not right to score from a free kick that was not”, said Cristian Fogarassy for Gazeta Sporturilor.

Gicu Grozav: “100% penalty from my point of view”
At the end of the match, Gicu Grozav, the striker from Petrolul Ploiesti, was dissatisfied with the referee, because he was not awarded a shot from 11 meters.
“I felt contact and I fell. I didn't even think it wouldn't be checked. I was stepped on the ankle, clear contact, 100% penalty from my point of view, but that's it, we're moving on. Even if we were losing, it was a clear foul for me, but apparently it wasn't considered enough contact to be analyzed by VAR.
I'm upset that I can barely step on my ankle, but I'm glad I got the 3 points. There were difficult trips to Dinamo and Rapid, but little by little it seems that we are recovering and accumulating points that we really need. I hope we can maintain this good form for as long as possible,” Gicu Grozav said in the flash interview
