After months of wearing gloves, frequent washing of dishes and dry air in the apartment, many notice that the nails have become brittle, thin, and the cuticles are dry and cracked. This is not necessarily a vitamin deficiency. Most often, the reason is damage to the protective barrier of the nail plate and surrounding skin.
But you can restore the strength of your nails without vitamins, gel coatings and salon treatments. One simple remedy is enough, which is found in almost every kitchen.
How to do:
- Lightly heat some olive or almond oil in a double boiler. It should be warm, but not hot.
- Apply the oil to the nail plate and cuticle, massaging each finger for 1-2 minutes.
- Wear cotton gloves or simply wrap your hands in a towel and leave for 20-30 minutes.
- Gently wipe off excess, no need to rinse.
- Repeat 2-3 times a week, especially before bed.
After just 10–14 days, you will notice that your nails are less brittle, smoother, the cuticles are soft, without hangnails, and your hands look well-groomed even without polish.
