He announced this initiative today, speaking at a session of the Legislative Assembly with a report on results of operational and official activities of the regional internal affairs bodies for 2025.
The head of the regional police noted that institutions for the natural sobering up of citizens operating since 2024 in Achinsk, Krasnoyarsk and Norilsk have had a positive impact on the state of street crime.
“This also made it possible to save the life and health of citizens who have lost the ability to move independently and navigate the environment, including during periods of negative air temperatures. In the region as a whole, the number of street crimes committed by persons under the influence of alcohol decreased by 9.9% and in other public places by 10.7%. In this regard, it is necessary to consider the possibility of creating such institutions on the left bank of Krasnoyarsk, as well as in such large cities as as well as in large cities such as Lesosibirsk, Minusinsk and Kansk“, said Alexander Solovyov.
Let us recall that the previous head of the police of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Alexander Rechitsky, also associated the decrease in the number of “drunken” crimes committed in past years with the opening of sobering stations.
