A criminal investigation was completed against a former member of an organized criminal group who committed the murder of a man in Norilsk 28 years ago.
According to the First Directorate for the investigation of the Particularly important cases of the GSU of the IC of Russia in the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia, at night on September 12, 1997, the body of a 25-year-old man with a gunshot wound in the head of the head, belonging to one of the crime groups operating in the city, was discovered in the apartment of the Komsomolskaya G. Norilsk. A criminal case was opened on this fact.
In 2025, as part of the work on the investigation of crimes of past years, investigators of the regional IC of Russia and forensic scientists, when interacting with employees of the threat of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, repeatedly analyzed the materials of the criminal case. Investigators managed to establish witnesses who own information about the circumstances of the crime, in respect of which state protection measures were applied.
As a result of the correctly selected tactics of repeated interrogation with witnesses, it was possible to establish psychological contact and receive significant information about the person involved in the murder of a man. It turned out to be a 51-year-old resident of the city of Sochi, who in 1997 lived in Norilsk and was an active member of an organized criminal group.
According to investigators, in 1997, the criminal authority of the city of Norilsk decided to organize the murder of a member of a criminal group due to a conflict that occurred on the basis of jealousy between the victim and nephew of the criminal leader.

According to the investigation, the customer of the murder was subsequently died during a criminal shootout, the accused accomplice is wanted.
The criminal case was sent to the prosecutor's office to approve the indictment and subsequent sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
