Unknown people created a fake video in which the governor Sverdlovsk region allegedly announces the introduction of special social benefits for migrant workers from India. The Anti-Terrorist Commission exposed the forgery, writes the Ural Meridian news agency.

The department emphasized that the attackers used and distorted fragments of the official’s real speech. In fact, the governor did not make such statements, and the information about benefits does not correspond to reality.
Previously, false information was spread in the region about the transfer of a third of the apartments in new buildings to migrants from India.
Let us recall that at the beginning of December 2025, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a memorandum on labor mobility with the Indian leader. In 2026, at least 40 thousand labor migrants may arrive in the country.
