The use of beer pellets not only solves the problem of waste disposal, but also creates an economical alternative to traditional substrates from sunflower seeds and wheat, which differ in high cost or negative impact on the environment.
According to RIA Tomsk, the project was among the winners of the Student Startup contest of the Fund for Assistance to Innovation.

According to the author of the project, such a technique can be in high demand in the market. In the future, the team plans to create home sets for growing mushrooms that will include a container, substrate, mycelium and instructions. Such sets will be able to appear on marketplaces in the near future.
