A representative of the parent community in the Krasnoyarsk Territory supported the initiative of Patriarch Kirill. We are talking about a proposal to ban abortions for married women without the written consent of the spouse.
As reported by sibnovosti.ru, the chairman of the Council of Fathers of the region, Oleg Okladnikov, spoke in support of this idea, saying that fateful decisions in the family should be made collectively.
“A father is, of course, a member of the family. Therefore, if we want to keep the father as a member of the family, he must influence decisions that have a fateful impact on the entire family. The authorities should support this,” Okladnikov commented.
Earlier, Patriarch Kirill said that married women can decide to terminate a pregnancy “in a state of passion,” and emphasized that the husband should provide support in such an important choice.
