What the DIICOT prosecutors found during the searches in the town where Mario was killed. Two young men were detained

Two young men, aged 17 and 24, were detained following searches by the police and DIICOT prosecutors in the town of Cena, Timiş county.
The two young men will be investigated for high-risk drug trafficking, in a continuous form, the Romanian Police and DIICOT announced on Sunday.
“From the administered evidence it emerged that, starting in the summer of 2025, the 24-year-old, repeatedly, would have made available to the other person under investigation for 17 years, different amounts of cannabis, which he would have either made available to three other minors (between the ages of 13 and 15), or would have consumed them together”, according to the quoted sources, writes News.ro.
Following the three searches carried out in the town of Cena, approximately 110 grams of cannabis, a grinder, an electronic scale, as well as other means of evidence were discovered and seized in the home of the 24-year-old.
On Sunday, DIICOT – Timişoara Territorial Service prosecutors ordered the detention of the two people, aged 17 and 24.
The action benefited from the support of the gendarmes of the Timişoara Gendarmerie Mobile Group.
Searches in Cenei
The DIICOT prosecutors from Timişoara and the anti-drug police raided, on Saturday, three addresses in the town of Cena, Timiş county, at the homes of the two 15-year-old boys involved in the murder of their friend of the same age, Mario Berinde. The searches come after the two boys declared that they would have consumed drugs after the crime.
During Saturday's searches, three addresses in Cena were checked that belong to the families of the 15-year-old teenagers who killed their friend with an ax and a knife.
The two stated, at the hearings, that they consumed dangerous drugs, respectively marijuana, after they killed Mario Berinde.
The investigators were trying to find out where the teenagers got the narcotics.
The 13-year-old boy tested positive for drugs
And the 13-year-old boy who participated in the crime allegedly consumed drugs, the analyzes indicating the possible presence of marijuana. The DIICOT prosecutors announced afterwards that they had opened a criminal case.
On Monday evening, the boys allegedly called Alin Mario Berinde to the home of the 13-year-old child, telling him that they wanted to show him a new ATV. Around 9:30 p.m., he took his scooter and went to the meeting.
Once there, one of the 15-year-olds hit him with an ax, and the 13-year-old with a knife. Then they called the third child to help them get rid of the body.
They initially tried to set him on fire, then placed his body, naked, with his head wrapped in a jacket, in a pre-made pit in the garden of the 13-year-old boy's house. The crime was planned a month before.
Mario was buried on Saturday in his hometown.
