Călin Georgescu also appears in the DNA file of the Vaslui businessman Bogos, receiving help from a former SIE general. Former candidate says reports are 'baseless'

The former presidential candidate Călin Georgescu was to be extracted from the country after he was fictitiously employed in a company in Austria, in Vienna, by people who appear in the file of the SRI and SIE reservists from Vaslui, say the DNA prosecutors, according to transcripts and judicial sources consulted on Wednesday by Antena 3 CNN, G4Media.ro and Gândul. Georgescu reacted during the evening, vehemently denying the published information. “I didn't have any contract with the people mentioned. I don't know them,” he said.

  • Călin Georgescu is under judicial control, so he is prohibited from leaving the country. He is being sued for actions against the constitutional order.

The network that would have helped Georgescu would be coordinated by a SIE general in reserve, Nicolae Iană, and the businessman Dănuț Hanț Constantin (domiciled in Austria, in Vienna) and Silviu Pîrvu-Ularu, a former SRI officer, would also be part of it.

The purpose of the fictitious employment would have been for the former presidential candidate to argue before the court that he works in Vienna, at a company belonging to Dănuț Hanț Constantin, so that he can leave the country under the pretext of the right to work.

The discussion about this fictitious employment of Călin Georgescu took place between Silviu Ularu-Pîrvu and his wife, Ecaterina Ularu-Pîrvu, to whom he tells about the context of Georgescu's employment, according to the document consulted by G4Media.

“On 27.05.2025, the named Pîrvu-Ularu Silviu contacts his wife by phone, to whom he conveys the fact that Hanț Constantin Dănuț has fictitiously employed the named Călin Georgescu in one of his commercial companies in Vienna so that he can leave Romania even though he is subject to the preventive measure of judicial control”, say the prosecutors, in transcripts.

“He sends me COSTI and he hired him. COSTI hired GEORGESCU in AUSTRIA at the company because they didn't give him permission to leave the country and now he's giving notice that you know, according to the law, they're not allowed to deny your right to work, you know?/ .. and COSTI gave him a paper that he's expected to work in AUSTRIA!”, according to the cited document.

“These aspects denote the power of penetration that the named Hanț Constantin Dănuț has and his relational system of influence, as well as their concerns to evade the legal provisions even in the case of the disposition of preventive measures taken in the framework of some criminal cases”, say the judicial sources”, state the prosecutors.

According to Antena 3 CNN, it is about a consulting company on financial issues, and Georgescu would have been, at least in the documents, the one who had to deal with this company. The company was to deliver services in Romania and Austria as well.

Dănuț Hanț Constantin and Silviu Ularu Pîrvu, the latter domiciled in Romania, appear as shareholders in the Romanian company Profesional Consulting Q24 SRL.

The plan was revealed in several conversations that members of this network, SRI and SIE reservists, had.

“But… Costi says that they have discussed and are making a consulting firm on economic issues part… with Georgescu, you know, to be taken over by Georgescu, to deal with it on economic issues in partnership with Profesional Consulting. Yes, this on Romania and that on Austria and… direct partner”, the document consulted by G4Media also states.

Dănuț Hanț Constantin and Silviu Ularu Pîrvu are prosecuted by the DNA in the influence peddling case involving a businessman from Vaslui, according to the same judicial sources.

DNA searches, in a file involving the businessman Fănel Bogos

DNA prosecutors – Iași Territorial Service carried out, on Wednesday, 23 searches in seven counties and the municipality of Bucharest, in a case concerning corruption offenses and similar to corruption offences, according to a press release sent by DNA. The person targeted by the investigation is the Vaslui businessman Fănel Bogos, the owner of the Vanbet company, who last month was detained by the Vaslui police on the charge of intentionally killing a horse.

Trafficking in influence, blackmail, bribery and the use of influence or authority in order to obtain money, goods or other undue benefits for oneself or for another, are the crimes referred to in the file instrumented by the DNA.

Following the searches, several people will be brought to the hearings, some of them being members of a political party, DNA announced.

A veterinarian by profession, Fănel Bogos is accused of having tried to replace the head of the Vaslui Veterinary Sanitary Directorate for a fine received by his company, say judicial sources. Bogos' company was fined last year for selling salmonella-infected chicken in supermarkets.

Fănel Bogos would have planned the removal of Mihai Ponea from the leadership of DSV Vaslui, with the support of former generals and officers from the secret services.

The businessman would have intervened through three groups made up of reservists, former military personnel, with connections in the army, secret services (SRI, SIE) and even former DNA prosecutors, according to judicial sources quoted by Antena 3.
