The Germans expel the spy. Russian ambassador summoned to the carpet

The German Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday that a Russian diplomat who conducted espionage activities under the guise of diplomatic status would be expelled from the country.

We do not accept espionage in Germany, and certainly not under the guise of diplomatic status. Today we summoned the Russian ambassador to the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs and informed him that the person who conducted espionage activities for Russia would be expelled – an entry with such content was posted by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the X platform.

It is not known whether the case is related to the arrest in Berlin of a woman suspected of spying for Russian intelligence, which the prosecutor's office announced on Wednesday.

As reported by the dpa agency, one of the detainee's tasks was to help, under a false name, an agent from the Russian embassy to participate in political events in Berlin. Its goal was to establish contacts important for the services in the German capital. (PAP)
