Parental leave for the father. A gigantic change in three years

According to Andrzek Kubisiak, deputy director of the strategy department at the Ministry of Finance and popularizer of parental leave for fathers, in 2025 it will be 24%. men took advantage of their parental leave.
It's a revolution. In 2022, this percentage was only around 1%. However, in recent years, a lot has changed in the approach of fathers to raising children.

This is clearly visible in the chart above. Over the three years, the percentage increased first to 7, then to 17 and 24 percent. This is a gigantic increase.
This is not about paternity leave
To clarify, the statistics refer to parental leave. Therefore, it is not about two weeks that only the father is entitled to right after the birth of the child.
This is the part of the leave that fathers either take over from the child's mother within a year after the birth, or the additional nine weeks that are exclusively available to fathers since the introduction of the work-life balance directive in April 2023.

It was then that the Labor Code introduced nine weeks that the father cannot transfer to the child's mother. If they are not used, they will simply be lost.
As you can see, the solution worked, because the prospect of losing more than two months of leave motivated fathers to take advantage of such a solution.
