Athlete of the Krasnoyarsk Academy of Summer Sports Evelina Kalugina won two bronze medals at the World Parachuting Championships in wind tunnel disciplines. This was reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Sports.
The skydiving competition took place in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi.
“The air racing tournament took place in the largest wind tunnel in the world, CLYMB, and brought together the best skydivers on the planet from 15 countries. Russia was represented by Krasnoyarsk parachutist Evelina Kalugina and Andrey Karabeshkin, an athlete from the St. Petersburg team Kings of the sky. They received tickets to the World Championships after passing a tough qualifying stage in Abu Dhabi last September,” the regional Ministry of Sports clarified.

Evelina Kalugina, first paired with Andrei Karabeshkin, took third place in the relay race in the Relay discipline, losing to athletes from the USA and Mexico. The Krasnoyarsk woman won her second bronze medal in the individual program in the Race discipline, behind only Mexican Sebas Garcia and Landon Karaberis from the USA.
