Tender and thin pancakes according to a recipe proven over the years

The author of the Ukrainian culinary YouTube channel “Ukrainian Cuisine of Beautiful Traditions” explained how to cook thin pancakes with milk.

“We are preparing pancakes with you, this recipe has been unchanged in our family, tested for years. The pancakes turn out very thin and tasty. They can be eaten as a separate dish or filled with any filling. Try it, it’s very tasty,” the author advised.

Ingredients:

  • 0.5 l of milk;
  • 5 pcs. eggs;
  • 2 tbsp. l. refined oils;
  • 1 tbsp. l. Sahara;
  • 1/2 tsp. salt;
  • 150 g wheat flour;
  • 50 g corn starch.

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, combine eggs, salt, sugar, mix everything.
  2. Add sifted starch and flour, stir so that there are no lumps.
  3. Add milk to the egg mixture, stirring until the dough is homogeneous. At the end, add vegetable oil. Stir.
  4. Let the dough rest for 15 minutes on the counter.
  5. Heat a pan for pancakes, grease it with vegetable oil, removing any residue.
  6. Pour the batter into the pan, spreading it evenly.
  7. Fry the pancakes on both sides until golden brown.
