If you want something warm, crunchy and rich without the deep frying and preservatives, then these nuts will become your new home habit. They're easier to make than chips, smell like Christmas cooking, and gobble up faster than you can put them in a jar.
Ingredients:
Walnuts or almonds – 200 g
Honey – 1 tbsp. spoon
Olive or sunflower oil – 1 teaspoon
Ground cinnamon – 1/2 teaspoon
Ground ginger – 1/4 teaspoon
Pinch of sea salt
How to cook:
- Preheat the oven to 160°C.
- In a bowl, mix honey, oil, salt and spices until smooth.
- Add the nuts and stir until each one is coated with glaze.
- Place the nuts in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, stirring gently once halfway through.
- Remove from oven and let cool completely. They will become crispy and shiny like caramel.
Serve with tea, add to salads or simply eat with a spoon.
Bon appetit!
