Passengers of a private train that broke down waited four hours between Sinaia and Câmpina for the arrival of a relief train

A motor of the private company Regio Călători broke down around 3:20 p.m. in the Posada area, and passengers waited more than four hours to get a train from the same company. For some of the passengers, the journey from Brașov to Bucharest took seven and a half hours.

Train 11034 left Brașov at 14:00 and should have arrived in Bucharest at 16:50.

A passenger on the RE 11034 Brașov – Bucharest train told HotNews.ro that the engine broke down between Valea Largă and Posada, around 3:15 p.m. The train was far from the road and in a rough area, the passenger also said. After 19:00, the power went out in the train, and a toilet was non-functional, the passenger said. There was also a group of children on the train.

The passengers were transferred to another Regio Călători train coming from Brașov

HotNews.ro contacted the Regio Călători dispatch office, and an employee of the company said that train 11036, Brașov – Bucharest, was sent to help, which picked up the passengers from the train that broke down, accumulating 150 minutes of delay.

Train 11036 left Brașov at 15:57, at Sinaia it was 27 minutes late, and after maneuvers and transshipment it ended up being 141 minutes late at Comarnic, from where it left at 19:36. The train that picked up the stranded passengers was supposed to arrive at the North Railway Station at 18.44, but arrived at 21.24, Infofer data shows.
