Galaxy S26 is already here. Specifications, prices and impressions of using Samsung's new products

This year, the European variants of the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ smartphones received a 2nm chipset Samsung Exynos 2600. He works inside it 10-core processor and graphic layout Xclipse 960. The rest of the world gets the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 5 chip in these smartphones. Many people may not be happy with this. Just The Galaxy S26 Ultra globally uses the above-mentioned, highly valued Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
All variants of the Galaxy S26 smartphones are equipped with 256 GB and 512 GB of data memory 12 GB RAM. The exception is the 1-terabyte edition of the Galaxy S26 Ultra that it received 16 GB of RAM.

Screens. We have a small revolution here, but… only in the Galaxy S26 Ultra
Only the Galaxy S26+ uses the same 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X 120 Hz screen with a resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels as its predecessor. In this case, it sounds a bit boring.
Galaxy S26 received a slightly larger 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x 120 Hz screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. In the Galaxy S25 it had a diagonal of 6.2 inches. There is something, but overall it's nothing crazy.
The breakthrough affected the best in the series Galaxy S26 Ultra. On the one hand, it also retained the 6.9-inch screen known from its predecessor, but this time it has rounder corners and is… equipped with a hardware privatization function. What does it mean in practice? After enabling privacy mode, people looking at the screen at an angle will not be able to see its contents. But that's not all. Privatization mode can be turned on automatically for selected applications, when entering passwords, and even limit the visibility of only some of them – for example, pop-up notifications. None of the Galaxy S26 Ultra's competitors yet have such a function.

Total stagnation in cameras. The only hope is in AI
In both cheaper variants we get exactly the same cameras as we know from their predecessors. So we get three photographic modules: 12 MP FF wide angle, standard 50 MP with OIS and telephoto 3x with 10 MP resolution.
Similarly, the Galaxy S26 Ultra has remained virtually unchanged. There are four photographic modules left in it – 50 MP wide angle (f/1.9, PDAF, 1/2.5″ matrix), standard 200 MP (f/1.4PDAF, OIS, 1/1.3″ matrix), tele 3x 10 MP (f/2.4, PDAF, OIS, 1/3.94″ matrix) and tele 5x 50 MP (f/2.9, PDAF, OIS, 1/2.52″ matrix). The only hardware change seems to be this one. brighter f/1.4 aperture in the standard module. In the Galaxy S25 Ultra it had an f/1.7 opening.
Cameras. It seems that Samsung has completely given up on this element or has no idea for this element in its flagship smartphones

Battery pat. Faster charging occurs, but also shorter battery life
Only the Galaxy S26 has a slightly larger battery than its predecessor – 4300 mAh vs 4000 mAh. In turn, in this case, its charging efficiency has not changed – wired is still 25 Wa induction 15 W.
In the Galaxy S26+, the battery remains the same as in its predecessor (4900 mAh) and it still charges by wire with power 45 Whowever, the smartphone is now compatible with Qi 2.2 inductive charging with efficiency 25 W and with magnetic accessories.

Battery capacity has not increased on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It's still there 5000 mAh. However, Samsung decided to increase the efficiency of its wired charging to 60 W. Induction ranges 25 Wi.e. as in the Galaxy S26+.
However, the declaration of battery durability in the new Galaxy S26 series is very puzzling. Samsung set it at 1,200 charging cycles, which is 800 cycles less than in the Galaxy S25 series. Were cheaper, worse cells used? Probably yes.

Prices… high. iPhone will be cheaper!
It is true that Samsung abandoned variants with 128 GB built-in memory this year. However, the prices of the new Galaxy S26 are steep. The basic variant of the Galaxy S26 is now clearly more expensive than the iPhone 17, which also has 256 GB of memory for data. This will not dampen the appetite of true Samsung fans, of course, but… it may slightly limit the market popularity of the line. Here are the prices of all variants available:
- Galaxy S26 256GB – PLN 4,499
- Galaxy S26 512GB – PLN 5,399
- Galaxy S26+ 256GB – PLN 5,599
- Galaxy S26+ 512GB – PLN 6,499
- Galaxy S26 Ultra 256GB – PLN 6,499
- Galaxy S26 Ultra 512GB – PLN 7,399
