Krasnoyarsk police catch illegal immigrants during the holiday weekend

During the holidays, intensified checks of compliance with migration legislation continue in Krasnoyarsk. This was reported to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.

Employees of the migration service, together with operatives of the regional Criminal Investigation Department and the Central Election Commission of the regional Main Directorate, with the force support of the police patrol service, carried out verification activities to comply with the requirements of migration legislation in the Central district of the city. The objects of the inspections were the territories of a car service center, a wholesale warehouse, as well as addresses with mass registration of foreigners for migration registration.

A total of 42 people were checked, 14 of them were taken to the Migration Department for further proceedings.

Currently, a pre-investigation check is being carried out on 13 facts of identified violations. Of these:

  • 12 facts of fictitious registration of foreigners for migration registration (Article 322.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation);

  • 1 fact of fictitious registration of a foreign citizen at the place of residence (Article 322.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The police also identified 10 administrative offenses:

  • 1 according to Part 1 Art. 18.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (violation by a foreign citizen of the rules of entry into the Russian Federation or the regime of stay (residence) in the Russian Federation);

  • 8 according to Part 4 Art. 18.9 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (failure to fulfill obligations by the receiving party in connection with the implementation of migration registration);

  • 1 under Art. 19.15.1 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (residence of a citizen of the Russian Federation at the place of stay or at the place of residence in a residential building without registration).

In addition, a foreigner who had previously received Russian citizenship was given a referral for military registration.
