Nawrocki was asked whether the end of 2025 will mark a “new beginning” in relations between Poland and Ukraine.
“I deeply believe that yes. The President's visit [Украины Владимира] Zelensky to Warsaw is proof that Ukraine cares about good relations with Poland,” the politician replied.
He noted that the common strategic interest of Poland and Ukraine in connection with the threat from the aggressor country of the Russian Federation is obvious.
According to Nawrocki, this is one of the few issues that unites him, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and the current government.
However, as the Polish president pointed out, a new beginning must “mean partnership.”
Nawrocki added that for the first time, “Poland’s specific expectations regarding Ukraine” are being expressed.
He stressed that his duty is “to speak on behalf of the Polish people, regardless of whether we are talking about Ukraine, Germany or Israel.”
“There are unresolved issues in our relations with Ukraine, and within the framework of our partnership, I demand that they be resolved,” Navrotsky said.
