This is due to a fungus that settles in the drum and loves warm moisture. The author of Zen Canal (18+) “Berry Again” advises a double blow: a classic duet of soda and vinegar.
Why works
The alkali neutralizes acidic plaque and mold smell, vinegar rinses the remains and disinfects. And at the same time it softens the water with a bonus: the powder foams better, it requires less, things become softer without air conditioning.
Instructions
- Pour a tablespoon of baking soda into an empty drum.
- Run a short washing at 30 ° C without linen.
- At the end of the cycle, pour 9 % vinegar into the air conditioner compartment and turn on the “rinse”.
- Leave the door ajar so that the drum dries.
The smell disappears after the first procedure; Repeat once a month if the machine is in a wet room.
Important: Do not increase the temperature, the more, the better – not about this case: at 60 ° C, the soda will “bite” to the heater, and the aroma will return with a scale.
