It is alert in Ruginoasa, where the traditional confrontation between the young people from the “hill” and those from the “vale” takes place. Locals masked and armed with clubs tried to force the cordons of order, clashing with the gendarmes mobilized on the spot to prevent the outbreak of violence.

To calm the spirits and prevent the situation from escalating, the gendarmes had to use tear gas spray. Approximately 250 gendarmes were mobilized to ensure public order during the demonstrations.
According to the Bacău Gendarmerie, during the morning, a group of participants overtook the first cordon of gendarmes, trying to follow a route that would have led to the meeting with the other group of people. The intervention of law enforcement was aimed at stopping the advance and avoiding direct contact between the two camps.
The representatives of the institution emphasize that no demonstrations will be allowed that endanger the safety of the participants or other citizens. The main objective of the presence of gendarmes is to prevent violent incidents and ensure that no one is injured. During the events, law enforcement will check and prevent the use of objects or elements that could cause injuries.
