223 household consumers in Sector 3 of the Capital are affected, on Saturday, by the interruption of the natural gas supply to the common use facility, as a result of an incident at the facility serving the building.
Distrigaz Sud Rețele sent in a press release that it temporarily interrupted the supply of natural gas for the building located on Liviu Rebreanu street no. 46–58, block E, stairs D and E, in Sector 3, to ensure security conditions.
The measure was taken on Saturday, December 27, starting at 5:30 p.m.
According to the company, the outage is unanticipated and affects 223 residential customers fed through this common use facility.
“Distrigaz Sud Rețele has taken this measure until the faults of the user installation are remedied by an ANRE authorized company. According to the legislation in force1, the common user installation belongs to the customers and is not under the responsibility of Distrigaz Sud Rețele,” states the quoted source.
For the resumption of natural gas supply, ANRE regulations stipulate that it is necessary for customers to contract with an authorized economic operator to remedy the defects and carry out the technical review of the installation, as well as the transmission of supporting documents to Distrigaz Sud Rețele.
The company's representatives also indicate that, after the resumption of the supply, if the smell of gas is felt, customers are asked to call the Gas Emergency Call and Troubleshooting Center on 021 9281, 031 9031 or 0800 877 778, to ventilate the rooms immediately and avoid using electrical appliances or other sources of sparks.
