The Ministry of National Defense (MApN) announces that a new drone attack took place, on Monday night, in Ukraine, near the town of Rosetti, Tulcea County. An aerial alert was established in Tulcea County, and the population was warned by RO-Alert message.
“On the night of April 28 to 29, the Russian forces performed a series of drones on some civilian and port infrastructure in Ukraine, in the proximity of the border with Romania. As a result of this situation, the National Military Center (Nucle) notified, on Monday, April 28, around 23.30 Tulcea, being transmitted a message of warning of the population through the RO-Alert system, for the northeast area of this county ”, MApN said on Tuesday morning.

The monitoring and supervisory systems of the Ministry of National Defense permanently monitored the air space in the area.
“According to the procedures, two F-16 aircraft of the Romanian Air Force and two Eurofighter of the Italian Air Force, located in the Air Police Fighting Service, took place successively from the Borcea 86 Air Base, respectively the Mihail Kogălniceanu Aerial Base and carried out Romanian space surveillance and protection missions,”

The air alert ceased Tuesday, April 29, around 04.50, the fighter aircraft later returning on the air dislocation bases.
According to the army, during the attacks on the Ukrainian objectives, the “Radar Surveillance System of Romania indicated the possibility that the trajectory of one of the drones involved in the attack intersected, for a very short period of time, the national air space, on a depth of up to 500 meters, in an area of approximately 8 km, as an 8 km. the Ukrainian territory ”.
“The MApN forces will execute, during this day, according to the standard procedures, research in the areas where risks may occur as a result of these situations and the airspace surveillance missions will continue. Also, the Allied structures are permanently informed about the situations generated by the attacks,” says MApN.
