Today, December 26, the main Christmas tree of Krasnoyarsk will open on Tatyshev Island.
According to the press service of the mayor's office, at 18:30 the theatrical festive program “New Year in Winter Yar” will unfold, and at 19:00 the ceremony of lighting the lights on the main tree of the city will take place.
“Sibiryak and Krasnoyarochka will greet the guests. The best creative groups of the city and fairy-tale characters will take part in the festive program. Father Frost, together with his little helpers – Frost and Snow Maiden – will light the lights on the Christmas tree. The concept of the holiday is based on folk style, the richness and originality of Russian culture, the unity of the peoples of Russia,” the city administration said.
This year, five slides were prepared in the ice town of Tatyshev Park: three large, more than three meters high, and two medium-sized. For the youngest visitors, the organizers have provided a separate location with small ice slopes, which will be included in the corner ice compositions, as well as the Chalice attraction.
The press service of Tatyshev Park clarified that the ice town will open today at 14:00.
It is recommended to travel to the opening of the Christmas tree by public transport. On December 26, shuttle buses will run to Tatyshev Island. They will start running from 18:30 from the Aviator shopping center (Aviator St., 5) and from the parking lot of the O-Key shopping center (Sibirsky lane, 5A).
4 large capacity buses will transport passengers. The trip will be free. Transport shutdown time is 23:30. The movement interval will be 10 minutes.
