A resident of Krasnoyarsk appealed to Rospotrebnadzor with a complaint about the Asia Market store. According to her, the outlet sold food products without information in Russian, which made it impossible to find out the composition, expiration date or manufacturer of the product.

“You go there, and it’s completely unknown what’s hanging with the price tag,” said the customer. She also noted that the seller referred to a certain “federal law” that supposedly exempts them from the obligation to translate the labeling, but could not name a specific regulatory act.
Department specialists conducted an inspection and confirmed the violations. Confectionery products and snacks labeled in Chinese were found on sale, with no information in Russian at all.
Based on the results of the inspection, I.P. Gaisina Ya.D. issued a warning about the inadmissibility of such violations. If complaints continue to be received, the department is ready to go to court with a demand to ban the sale of unlabeled products in this store.
