Poland's ambassador to Paris, Jan Emeryk Rosciszewski, was suspended from his post on Wednesday. He is awaiting the conclusions of an investigation into influence peddling for the issuance of false diplomas, writes AFP, quoted by Agerpres.
The announcement was made by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Rosciszewski, stationed in Paris since 2022, was arrested on Tuesday when he landed at Frederic Chopin Airport in Warsaw and questioned by representatives of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau.

“Minister Radoslaw Sikorski has decided to suspend the ambassador from his duties until all uncertainties are clarified,” the spokesman for Polish diplomacy told the PAP news agency.
PiS MPs, get involved
Apart from the Polish diplomat, high officials and former deputies from the Law and Justice Party (PiS) are also involved in this scandal.
They are suspected of having participated in the issuance or benefiting from master's degrees in business administration by a private university established by one of the suspects. The diplomas were intended to allow the holders to be appointed to important positions in companies and public institutions.
