Large-scale exercises to search for missing people in winter conditions were held in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. This was reported to the regional Investigative Committee.

The event took place in a rugged forest area and the waters of the Yenisei River near the village of Kononovo, Bolshemurtinsko-Sukhobuzimsky district. The exercises were aimed at practicing joint actions of search groups and investigative agencies in the event of missing citizens. More than 79 people took part in them: law enforcement officers, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Spasatel State Budgetary Institution, as well as representatives of public organizations and the Red Cross.

In total, 20 units of equipment were involved in the work, including 3 crews of unmanned aerial vehicles, a diving group, 4 groups on snowmobiles and 10 walking groups.

According to legend, two fishermen disappeared on the Yenisei. For the search, we deployed an operational headquarters, established stable radio communications between all groups and distributed survey areas. A special feature of the exercise was the inclusion of investigators and forensic investigators from the Investigative Committee in the groups, who worked out the algorithm for inspecting the crime scene and seizing material evidence.

The search was carried out simultaneously on water and land. Using a drone, a boat motor was found at the bottom of the river, and life jackets, a gas tank and personal belongings were found on the shore, traces of which went into the forest.

As a result of a four-hour combing of taiga areas, one of the “fishermen” was found alive and received first aid, the body of the second was found downstream of the river.

Based on the results of the exercise, rescuers and investigators confirmed their high level of coordination and readiness to respond promptly in real emergency situations.
