Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR) student Viktor Fedorov won a grant of 1 million rubles to create a course on drone assembly for high school students. RIA Tomsk writes about this.
The project focuses on an in-depth study of the fundamentals of design, electronics and operating principles of unmanned aerial vehicle systems. It is planned that the training will consist of several modules: a theoretical block on the principles of operation and areas of application of UAVs, a practical part on assembling low-cost devices and an engineering module, where schoolchildren will be able to modernize designs and learn to use domestic components.
“Our course will show applicants that an engineer does not have to buy a ready-made foreign product. Many units can be assembled independently using available components, with understanding and practice,” Viktor Fedorov explained his idea.
The goal of the project is to awaken high school students’ interest in engineering through practical activities.
