More than 6 tons of dangerous products detained at Krasnoyarsk airport in 2025

In 2025, Rosselkhoznadzor employees at the checkpoint across the state border of the Russian Federation at Krasnoyarsk airport controlled more than 2.5 thousand international passenger flights. Experts identified 88 cases of violations of legislation in the field of plant quarantine.

Among the main violations is the import of prohibited regulated plant products in hand luggage and luggage of passengers arriving on the territory of the Russian Federation from the Republics of Tajikistan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. These are mainly fruits, vegetables, nuts, dried fruits, rice, tea, seasonings,” explained in the department.

In 50 cases, the products were contaminated with quarantine pests that pose a threat to the economy. Among them: caryopses of the genus Callosobruchusdodder, Californian scale, ragwort, creeping bitterweed.

In total, in 2025, 6.12 tons of products that were burned were detained. Its owners were brought to administrative liability under Article 10.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.
