China warns against the USA. “Concessions will not bring peace”

Trade war between USA and China does not stop. Meanwhile, some governments, including Taiwan, Japan and South Korea, began negotiations with Washington after President Donald Trump announced on April 2 the introduction of customs duties on almost all US business partners – writes the AP agency.
The duties were suspended for 90 days for most countries – except China – after panic was overwhelmed.
“China strongly oppose all parties concluding the agreement at the expense of China's interests,” said the Chinese Ministry of Trade. “If this happens, China will never accept it and will definitely take remedies in a mutual way. China is determined and capable of protecting their own rights and interests,” we read in a statement cited by AP.
According to the ministry, the US duties towards other countries are a form of economic intimidation. “Concessions will not bring peace, and the compromise will not gain respect,” we read.

The ministry also warns that “dedicating the interests of others in exchange for so -called exceptions to its own, temporary, selfish interests” will eventually disappoint, “will hurt others, without benefit.”
China said that they were open to talks with Washington, but no meetings were announced.
China has become the target of the highest duties imposed by Donald Trump. After a few rounds of the trade war between the American countries, the import of imports from China is 145 percent. Beijing answered duties in the amount of 125 percent. for imports from the USA.

The duties frightened the exporters and suspended the deliveries, and at the same time threatened with the burden of the global economy.
The Secretary of the US Treasury Scott Bessent said at the beginning of this month that countries currently negotiating trade agreements with the United States should “ask China as a group” together with Washington.
