In the Kirovsky, Leninsky, Sverdlovsky and Oktyabrsky districts, you can buy a New Year's tree from December 15. The mayor's office reminded that entrepreneurs must provide documents confirming the legality of cutting down Christmas trees. For cutting down coniferous trees without permission, you face a fine of up to 500 thousand rubles, mandatory correctional or forced labor from several days to two years. In addition to the fine, you will have to pay for each tree cut down. In cases where the amount of damage is significant, the violator will have to pay up to 3 million rubles or be imprisoned for up to seven years.
