Stefanie Pieper, a well-known smoke influencer from Austria, was found dead in a forest in Slovenia, almost a week after she disappeared.
The 31-year-old was last seen on November 23, returning home from a party. According to local media, she sent a WhatsApp message to a friend saying she had arrived home safely, but shortly afterwards told him she thought someone was in her stairwell.
Family members alerted the authorities when she didn't show up for a scheduled photo shoot, writes the Daily Mail.
Police said they found Pieper's body in a suitcase in a forest in Slovenia after her ex-boyfriend admitted to strangling her.
He was detained in Slovenia on Monday after authorities said he set his car on fire in a casino parking lot.
“He was found in the immediate vicinity of the burning vehicle and arrested by the Slovenian police. Extradition to Austria was requested”officials said.
