American diplomats on the end of the war in Ukraine

The US Secretary of US Marco Rubio and a special envoy of Donald Trump for the Middle East Steve Witkoff met with representatives of France, Germany, Great Britain and Ukraine.

The United States presented the allies with proposals enabling the conclusion of a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine, including an outline of the conditions for the end of the fighting and alleviating the sanctions imposed on Moscow – Bloomberg said on Friday, citing European officials. The proposal assumes the freezing of the conflict along the current front line and the rejection of Ukrainian aspirations regarding joining NATO.

Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio suggested that the administration of Donald Trump is ready to move away from peace efforts if the progress in this case is not achieved quickly. The Vice President of the USA JD Vance said on Friday during Rome's visit that he was an optimist when it comes to the chances of ending the war.
