Three performances from Krasnoyarsk theaters have been nominated for the Golden Mask

Krasnoyarsk theaters received three nominations for the national Golden Mask award. This was reported by the regional Ministry of Culture.

• Best performance in the Opera genre: “Love in War” of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theater named after D.A. Hvorostovsky;
• Best performance in the genre of “Operetta/Musical”: “Shadowboxing” of the Krasnoyarsk Musical Theater;
• Nomination “Modern Dance”: “Monument” of the Krasnoyarsk Musical Theater.

In addition, the list of the most notable performances of the theater season 2024 – 2025, recommended for viewing, includes: the operas “Turandot”, “The Barber of Seville”, “The Dreamer and His Friends” by the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theater, as well as “Faryatyev’s Fantasies” by the Minusinsk Drama Theater.

Starting this season, the Golden Mask has canceled private nominations. The country's main theater award will be awarded only to performances. The award ceremony will take place in June 2026.

Let us remind you that since 2019, theaters in the Krasnoyarsk Territory have already received 13 “Golden Masks”. Last year, the chief director of the Krasnoyarsk Musical Theater, Gemma Avetisyan, received “Mask” in the category “Best Director’s Work” for the play “Eight Women,” and a year earlier, the rock opera “Eagle and Raven” of the Musical Theater won in three categories.
